2009年1月12-15日HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 香港時裝節秋冬系列
島精榮榮在2009的第一個月份贊助了香港首個針織時裝匯演！
1月13日由毛織創新及設計協會(Knitwear Innovation and Design Society, KIDS)主辦香港首個針織時裝匯演─Knitwear Symphony 2009，由八位知名的香港設計師：Walter Ma, Lu Lu Cheung, Ika, Arthur Lam, Hidy Ng, Jaeger Ng, Coney Ko 和 Judyanna Ng，為這可貴的盛會展示最新系列的針織作品。這次的時裝匯演不僅向觀眾展示了八位設計師的非凡設計，更重要的是推廣及鞏固香港為世界第一毛衣採購中心的形象。作品由毛料提供到生產製造均得到了本地毛料公司及毛織生產商的大力支持。
島精作為針織電腦橫機界的龍頭，我們欣然與KIDS及業界的友好攜手為針織界出一分力！
當天的活動吸引了大量本地與海外的行內的專家和代表前來參與，時裝表演除了展示八位設計師的作品，作為贊助商的島精榮榮也有幸參與其中；在匯演的最後，我司以意大利設計師Paratella的四套純白色全成型(WHOLEGARMENT®) 針織作品為Knitwear Symphony劃上完美的句號。
Hong Kong fashion week hosted 'Knitwear Symphony 2009', the event's first ever knitwear fashion show which organized by the Knitwear Innovation and Design Society(KIDS)The catwalk showcasing the collections of 8 renowned local fashion designers:Walter Ma, Lu Lu Cheung, Ika, Arthur Lam, Hidy Ng, Jaeger Ng, Coney Ko and Judyanna Ng. It ranged from monochrome to vivid clashes to one colour head-to-toe, in a variety of Knitwear techniques.
As well as displaying the talents of eight knitwear designers, the event aimed to reinforce the city's position as the world's leading knitwear sourcing centre. As a pioneer of knitting machinery manufacturer, Shima Seiki has put her supports in sponsoring this event, and also showing the WHOLEGARMENT® technology by an Italian designer- Paratella's collection at the last series of the catwalk.
