毛織時裝匯演2010
2010年1月20日假灣仔會議展覽中心舉行，由KIDS(毛織創新及設計協會)主辦的毛織時裝匯演2010，旨在推廣及促進香港毛織製造業的創意和活力。與去年第一屆一樣，島精機(香港)有限公司熱烈贊助並且參與了這毛織業的盛事。
這次毛織時裝匯演展出的創新、富設計感的毛織作品，出自多位資深設計師，如劉家強、伍均琪、吳月明、鄧少儀和江秀明，亦有來自新晉毛織設計師許業朗、談嘉勇和朱寶君及其他香港知專設計學院畢業生。
而本公司除贊助本次活動外，亦非常榮幸地邀請理工大學紡織及製衣學系的畢業生陳穎英設計一系列秋冬針織時裝。陳穎英的作品以 Ice on Fire; Water of Wind為主題，其自由、簡樸、原始的設計，正是她遊歷冰島所體會的演繹，這系列全由有機紗線所製作，強調環保的意念。

Knitwear Symphony 2010
A glamorous knitwear Fashion Show presented by Knitwear Innovation and Design Society (KIDS) at the Hong Kong Conventional Centre on 20th January 2010. The event aims to promote Hong Kong’s unique knitwear technology and design. We, Shima Seiki (Hong Kong) Ltd. as one of the sponsors also showcased a New knitwear collection.
The innovative knitwear fashions shown in Knitwear Symphony 2010 are designed by local renowned fashion designers: Peter Lau, Hidy Ng, Judyanna Ng and Florence Tang. Outstanding budding designers: Dora Chu, Matt Hui, Olive Kong and Erik Tam also launched their new knitwear collections. The award-winning collections by Hong Kong IVE graduates of Fashion Design and Product Development Higher Diploma were presented.
We have the honor in inviting Ms Clova Chan to create a new chic A/W collection for Shima Seiki. Clova is graduated from ITC's Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Scheme in Fashion and Textiles. Free and simple, raw and tough is the approach of collection’s theme "Ice on fire; Water of Wind" which is inspired by the travel experience in Iceland. In the heart of green movement, all the garments of this collection were knitted by organic yarn.
